What is going on here?
This is a simple display of the sats left to be mined until all 21 million Bitcoin are created. There are a few reasons I wanted to show this. First, there are still plenty of sats left to go around. Until the last sat is mined, you've got time to get in on Bitcoin. Second, even though this is a huge number (at the time of publishing this page for the first time), it's still just a fixed supply. So every sat you "stack" will never be more or less than 1/2,100,000,000,000,000 of the total supply, ever. And you can't say the same thing about shells, gold, tulips, or dollars...
What are sats?
They're they smallest unit of a Bitcoin. Every Bitcoin has 100,000,000 sats.
Where's this data coming from?
I referenced the schedule from here
, and I grab latest block from blockchain.info
Show love. Send sats.
